Many people like to give useful, tangible gifts to Home Health United. The following is a list of suggested items that our staff members have indicated would benefit patients, staff and volunteers. For the St. Clare Hospice House
- Step stool for kitchen
- Two card tables with chairs
- Shelving and cabinets for laundry room
- Shelving and cabinets for storage room
- Three bathroom storage cabinets
- Four shower caddies
- CDs, DVDs, and books for residents and guests
- Bird feeders and birdseed
- Nice pots for plants
- Cabinet and counter to store meds in office
- CD player for meditation room
- CD player for kitchen area
- Prayer shawls to give patients and families
- Scrapbooks/Memory books for families
- Stuffed animals to give visiting children/grandchildren
- Holiday decorations (Spring, Easter, 4th of July, etc.)
- Journals for guests to sign in for patients
For the Hospice Program
- Extra long twin sheet sets for hospital bed rentals
- Washable mattress pads
- Baby monitors
- Personal safety/bed alarms (estimated cost: $50 each)
- Prayer shawls for patients and families (estimated cost: $50 each)
For Home Health Staff
- INRs for testing patients blood when on anticoagulants (estimated cost: $1,500 each)
- E-Learning Development (estimated cost: $50,000)
- Projectors for training (estimated cost: $2,000 each)
