Join Home Health United employees in food drive
In honor of National Home Care and Hospice Month, Home Health United is conducting a food drive to benefit local food pantries in the communities they serve. From Monday, Nov. 1 to Friday, Nov. 26 employees and community members can bring donated food items to any of the HHU offices in: Reedsburg, Baraboo, Prairie du Sac, Portage, Madison East and West, St. Mary's Outpatient Center, Janesville or Platteville. Food pantries need: pancake mix, pancake syrup, peanut butter, jelly, instant oatmeal, spaghetti sauce, tuna, toilet paper, soap, laundry detergent, non-perishable food items and baby items. Donations of cash or grocery store gift cards are also welcome.
"Home Health United’s more than 400 employees proudly serve patients in 25 counties in southern Wisconsin," said Rick Bourne, HHU president and CEO. "We feel privileged to come into people's homes and provide them with much-needed services. I hope you will join me in saluting these compassionate and caring professionals and help us give back to our communities."
Every day HHU nurses, physical, occupational and speech therapists, social workers and home health aides serve an average of 650 patients. HHU – Hospice provides end of life care to more than 380 patients and families annually. In addition, thousands of people receive home medical equipment and supplies from Home Health United.
