Meals On Wheels Partners With Food Fight Restaurant Group

Home Health United is proud to announce Meals On Wheels has partnered with Food Fight Restaurant Group to provide fresh and healthy meals made from scratch daily to homebound and disabled residents of Madison, Middleton and Monona. Market Street Diner & Bakery in Sun Prairie will be the exclusive source of Meals On Wheels.

Meals On Wheels provides hot nutritious meals every day of the year, and can accommodate special dietary needs.

"I look forward to the partnership between Home Health United - Meals On Wheels and Market Street Diner" said Jean Lynch, Home Health United Community Services Supervisor. "Together we have a common goal of providing a hot, nutritious meal and enabling our recipients to stay independent in their homes."

Food Fight Restaurant Group has a roster of restaurants that reads like a "who's who" of Madison's favorite eateries, including Market Street Diner & Bakery, Johnny Delmonico's Steakhouse, Hubbard Street Diner and Monty's Blue Plate Diner.

Monty Schiro, President and CEO of Food Fight, said "we are extremely happy to be working with Home Health United's Meals On Wheels Program. We love being a part of their mission to keep homebound and disabled people living independently in their own homes and we love the fact that we get to provide them with great meals!"

In addition, Market Street Diner & Bakery will be preparing breads, pastries and desserts daily as part of the meals. Carl's Cakes will be donating a cake for each recipient's birthday.

Volunteers are also needed for the Meals On Wheels program. Routes take approximately one hour to complete, and can be done any day of the week, as frequently as you'd like. Training is provided, and the whole family can participate. For more information call 276-7598 or email mow@hhuvns.org.
