Hospice Volunteers

Home Health United-Hospice volunteers have a sincere desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Volunteers are prepared for their role with a free, comprehensive training program. No previous experience in the medical field is necessary. Through training, hospice volunteers learn how to give the gift of themselves and their time in providing emotional support, companionship and respite care to our patients and families.

Home Health United – Hospice serves patients and families in the following counties: Adams, Columbia, Dodge, Green Lake, Iowa, Juneau, Marquette, Richland, Sauk and Vernon.

If you are willing to share your time with Home Health United-Hospice, there are a variety of opportunities to choose from based on your area(s) of interest, schedule and talents. The "Caring Presence Volunteer" program was created to provide companions for hospice patients who may not have family or friends available when they are near the end of life. Volunteers are needed to sit with dying patients to provide company and companionship.

We encourage people interested in volunteering to discuss their interest with our volunteer coordinator so that we can make your volunteer experience as rewarding for you as it is for our patients and families.
